The large-scale map of Moravia was rebuilt as a mosaic. Its first version had been painted with the community in 2019 as a playful tool to foster knowledge about its territory and awareness about the projected relocation plans of the city. Located on the concrete floor of the neighborhood‘s central square, it has been washed out over the past two years. To preserve this colorful icon of identification, a team of community leaders, pupils from a local school, artists and architects came together under the lead of Dubian Monsalve to create a large-scale mosaic with colored tiles. Every piece represents a house and the four predominant colors point out the four sectors of Moravia.

El mapa de Moravia en gran formato fue reconstruido en forma de mosaico. Su primera versión se había pintado con la comunidad en 2019 como herramienta lúdica para fomentar el conocimiento sobre su territorio y conciencia sobre los planes de reubicación proyectados por el municipio. Ubicado en el piso de cemento de la plazoleta central del barrio, se había lavado en los dos años pasados. Para preservar este icono colorido de identificación con el barrio, un equipo de líderes, estudiantes del colegio Fé y Alegría y arquitectos se juntaron, dirigidos por Dubian Monsalve, para crear un mosaico de baldosas en gran formato. Cada pieza representa una casa y los cuatro colores predominantes representan a los sectores de Moravia.

Der großformatige Stadtplan Moravias ist als Mosaik zu neuem Leben erwacht. Die erste Version wurde 2019 gemeinsam mit der Community gestaltet, um als spielerisches Werkzeug ihr Wissen über das Territorium und ihr Bewusstsein für die Umsiedlungspläne der Stadtverwaltung zu stärken. Als gemaltes Kunstwerk auf dem zentralen Platz des Viertels, ist es in den vergangenen zwei Jahren vom Regen ausgewaschen worden. Um das farbenfrohe Identifikationssymbol dauerhaft zu erhalten, hat ein Team aus Anwohner*innen, Schüler*innen und Architekt*innen unter Anleitung von Dubian Monsalve ein großformatiges Mosaik aus bunten Fliesen geschaffen. Jedes Stück Keramik steht für ein Haus und die vier vorherrschenden Farben repräsentieren die vier Sektoren Moravias.
