Our new headquarters is located within the Parque Lineal La Bermejala, a linear park that surrounds the neighborhood’s largest body of water, stretching more than 600 meters along Moravia. It is the most important public and green space in the territory, a main artery for pedestrians and cyclists, and an educational and cultural axis lined with key local institutions such as the cultural center and schools. To kick off our commitment to our new neighborhood, we transformed a run-down pocket park located right across our foundation. Through a participatory process with neighbors and local partners, this urban oasis has been revitalized with new community gardens, urban furniture, and lighting, and has become a gathering place for the community as well as a learning space for our foundation.
The project was realized in cooperation with Jarum Jardineros Unidos de Moravia, Fundación Argos, Alcaldía de Medellín and Vivero Municipal Medellín.
Nuestra nueva sede se encuentra dentro del Parque Lineal La Bermejala, que rodea el cuerpo de agua más grande del barrio y atraviesa Moravia a lo largo de más de 600 metros.Es el espacio público y verde más importante del territorio, una arteria principal para peatones y ciclistas, y un eje educativo y cultural rodeado de instituciones locales clave, como el centro cultural y las escuelas. Para dar inicio a nuestro compromiso con nuestra nueva vecindad, transformamos un pequeño parque deteriorado ubicado justo frente a nuestra fundación. A través de un proceso participativo con los vecinos y aliados locales, este oasis urbano se ha revitalizado con nuevos huertos comunitarios, mobiliario urbano e iluminación, y se ha convertido en un lugar de encuentro para la comunidad, así como en un espacio de aprendizaje para nuestra fundación.

Unser neuer Hauptsitz befindet sich im Parque Lineal La Bermejala, einem linearen Park, der den größten Wasserlauf des Stadtteils umgibt, der sich über mehr als 600 Meter durch Moravia schlängelt. Er bildet den wichtigsten öffentlichen und grünen Raum des Viertel, eine Hauptverkehrsader für Fußgänger und Radfahrer sowie eine Bildungs- und Kulturachse, an der die wichtigsten lokalen Einrichtungen wie das Kulturzentrum und Schulen aufgereiht sind. Als ersten Schritt unseres Engagements für unsere neue Nachbarschaft haben wir einen heruntergekommenen kleinen Park direkt gegenüber unserer Stiftung umgestaltet. Durch einen partizipativen Prozess mit Nachbar*innen und lokalen Partnern wurde diese urbane Oase mit neuen Gemeinschaftsgärten, Sitzgelegenheiten und Beleuchtung neu belebt und ist nun sowohl ein zentraler Treffpunkt für die Nachbarschaft als auch ein Lernort für unsere Stiftung geworden.
