At the fourth edition of the gathering of community organizations transforming the city, we explored the many centers that make up the center of Medellín in collaboration with Corporación Everyday Homeless. We began the day with a tour of the so-called “Bronx of Medellín,” visiting several tenement buildings to understand the living conditions in this rough urban context. During the day at Colegio San Benito, we learned about different realities and facets of downtown Medellín through a panel discussion with activists who lead social initiatives in this area; we engaged in discussions at various round tables and reflected together in a collaborative dialogue session.
The process was realized in collaboration with Low Carbon City, Corporación Mangle Tricilab and Corporación Everyday Homeless.
En la cuarta edición del encuentro de organizaciones comunitarias que transforman la ciudad exploramos los muchos centros que conforman el centro de Medellín en colaboración con la Corporación Everyday Homeless. Empezamos el día con un recorrido en el llamado Bronx de Medellín, visitando varios inquilinatos para entender las realidades de vivienda en este contexto urbano. Durante la jornada en el Colegio San Benito conocimos diferentes realidades y facetas del centro a través de un panel con personas que que lideran iniciativas sociales en esta zona, debatimos en distintas mesas de trabajo y reflexionamos en una minga de pensamiento.

Bei der vierten Ausgabe des Zusammenschlusses von sozialen Organisationen, die die Stadt verändern, erkundeten wir in Zusammenarbeit mit der Everyday Homeless Corporation die vielen Zentren, die das Zentrum von Medellín bilden. Wir begannen den Tag mit einem Rundgang durch die sogenannte „Bronx von Medellín“ und besuchten mehrere Wohnblocks, um die Lebensbedingungen in diesem urbanen Kontext besser zu verstehen. Im Laufe des Tages lernten wir im Colegio San Benito im Rahmen einer Podiumsdiskussion mit Menschen, die soziale Initiativen in diesem Gebiet leiten, verschiedene Realitäten und Facetten der Innenstadt von Medellín kennen, diskutierten in unterschiedlichen Arbeitsgruppen und tauschten uns gemeinsam in einer kollaborativen Dialogrunde aus.
